Hi there!
On Sat 10 – Sun 11 September, I'll be taking part in a 2 day 160km off-road cycling adventure, the Melanoma Bike Bash 2022.
Funds raised for Melanoma Institute Australia (incorporating melanomaWA) will support the expansion of melanoma awareness and support services in Western Australia. Broadened resources will deliver additional information, education and prevention communication to health professionals, corporates, schools and local communities. Western Australian melanoma patients, family and carers will receive more specialised support programmes, services and assistance, which in turn will assist in reducing the impact of melanoma on our Western Australian community.
Melanoma is the most common cancer affecting 15 to 39-year-old Australians and one Australian is diagnosed with melanoma every 30 minutes. It is estimated 1300 people will die from melanoma in Australia this year.
